Nobody pays for answers. They pay for things being done.

handled.sh started as a business plan with a thesis: your life admin doesn't live in apps, it lives in your chats. Six months after launch, here's what the plan got right, and what it got wrong.

The bet

Every productivity app asks you to come to it. We bet the opposite: put a real assistant inside WhatsApp, where the school groups, the photographed bills, and the "don't forget" messages to yourself already live. No app, no install: you send a photo or a voice note and things happen. Launched February 2026.

What the plan got right

People really do send whatever lands in their hands: DEWA bills, school circulars, insurance letters, parking fines. The assistant reads them, answers in your language (7 of them), sets the reminders, fills the calendar. Paying users have more than tripled since spring, and the thank-you messages arrive in the same chat as the tasks.

What it got wrong

We thought the product would be the hard part. It wasn't: getting people to the first message was. Signup used to take minutes and a QR code; now the assistant texts you first and you're talking in 30 seconds. We also made the free trial too generous, an error our own plan predicted and we shipped anyway. Both are fixed; both are lessons we'd rather share than hide.

Where it's going

Deeper into the boring, important things: morning briefs that actually brief, reminders that survive the school year, paperwork answered before you've worried about it. Built by a small team, funded by its users, one WhatsApp message at a time.

The plan was a document. This is the product.
